University of Louisville – Jim Patterson Baseball Stadium
The project scope consisted of doubling the number of chair-back seats to 3,000, bringing the overall seating capacity to more than 4,000. Abel also constructed a 6,400 square-foot terrace directly behind and accessible to the chair-back seats, along with a two-tiered ground-level terrace extending from each grandstand at the first- and third-base dugouts. The project concluded with the addition of a new visitor’s locker room, new restrooms, new viewing suites, and expanding the existing press box.
With the expansion now complete, the University of Louisville Jim Patterson baseball stadium is the largest ballpark in the Big East conference. It will allow UofL to host NCAA Regional and Super Regional games without the additional expense of temporary bleacher rentals and will help in player recruitment.
